Subcats sink ships

Unfortunately my lack of scanner makes it hard to post the figure sketches I did today, or the watercolor painting i ended up doing last night (last night was a good art night for me) so i doodled Subcat again in the hopes to get settled back onto a design, as i'm hoping to board out my idea for a film about him, as well as Scarfy!

I think people assumed Subcat was supposed to be a female since i have a thing for main female characters, but I actually intended for him to be a male cat named Max or Maximus or something. Fun fact right there {:

Definitely nowhere near as lanky and smooth as the original was (Im pretty sure he's posted on this blog somewhere) so i'll be tweaking things later on.



And i drew this yesterday night? somewhere in limbo between the two days, for my mom of her great dane, who this actually looks nothing like, lol.

Welcome to Shanty Land

Look what I did today :D A banner for Shanty land!

I chose the url name thing for this blog at random, but it's really grown on me. I know i should probably have a standard Serene Wyatt one, but shanty land is like the dirty little secret that's fun to stumble across.

I decided earlier today that shanty land needed a banner (check!) and a mascot, which i guess is what led to the real sketch of the day:




What can i say? I love the swamp/bayou and all the critters that live in it, including this guy. You should just be glad there's not a picture of gatordog hidden in the background. (or is there...!)


Oh, and last one for the night, hopefully going to finish, ink and color this one. Jedi dogs.

Hello witch hazel

So i think sketch a day needs to be revived. I've had so much positive drive this semester that theres no reason i shouldn't be able to make time for a sketch a day. and hopefully you'll see fast improvement.

Did this sketch earlier today. My grandma used to call me Witch Hazel when I was little because I was such a witch. Not sure if it's from a story or something, but I got the urge to draw a little witch today, so what better fitting for a name than Hazel! I think for the rest of the month i'll doodle her here and there and develop more character/story, just for fun.

I havent had internet in awhile, that never helps, heres SOME stuff i suppose.

XD wow, so i kind of crashed and burned on the whole sketch a day thing for awhile there.. between puppies and jobs and other junk i somehow managed to either not find time to draw, or draw anything good, or upload stuff i DID draw.

Do have one for today/yesterday though, more gatordog, but at least its something XD
